First Christian Church has always been active in helping those in need. Our philosophy of Worship includes
"moving out in daily service to God and neighbor". The time has come to take our caring ways a step further with more organization and communication. Darlene Haynes is our Good Samaritan Ministry Team Coordinator. This program helps blessings flow to members, friends and others in need. By matching the talents of many caring, compassionate volunteers with needs requests, we can certainly imporve the quality of many lives.
The church is blessed with those who have already volunteered their Time and Talents by offering transportation, shopping, home repair, advice for hiring services, yard work, painting, cleaning, cooking, bookkeeping, clerical work, budgeting, spiritual guidance, etc. As you see, we have a very versatile group of volunteers. Along with providing assistance with specific requests, our volunteers often brighten the lives of those in need during their visits with encouragement and prayers. Efforts are also made to help those in need help themselves.
