Family Spotlight!
Midge (Marjorie) Green has been attending FCC for four years and is a member. What brought her here at first was, well, a matter of convenience. "I moved into the apartments across the street and was close to the church," she said.
She had never attended a Disciples of Christ church before. She has since moved to another home but continues to worship here. "I stayed because I like Pastor David's messages and the people are real nice to me." She added that the people in the church are pretty much positive, which she likes.
Midge was born again at age seven. She was born in Uganda to missionary parents and learned at an early age about God and Jesus as her Savior. Her parents, both deceased, surrounded her with the Word. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to the Congo, where Midge stayed until she was 13.
Midge has always played an active role in churches, and her time at FCC is no exception. In the past, she has served on the Vision Team, as an Elder and as a Diaconate.
Midge is a single parent of two adult sons, one who lives in Venice, and the other who lives in Colorado. She works as an independent contractor in the caregiving field.
